Santa Barbara County Area Attractions and Events
Truth Aquatics Inc. -- Live aboard cruise to the Channel Islands National Park
The next time you consider getting away for a few days of rest and relaxation, think about a live aboard cruise to the Channel Islands National Park and Marine Sanctuary. An alternative to the floating hotel-like atmosphere of cruise ships, this type of cruising offers a more intimate communion with the ocean and its creatures. A popular misconception is these cruises are for avid divers only. Non-divers alike can enjoy the ultimate in peaceful relaxation--no crowds to fight, no lines, no tourist traps, only kayaking, fishing, sunbathing, whale-watching, taking advantage of a boon of photo-ops both above and below the water, or just lounging around taking in breathtaking sunsets.

Buellton – Andersen's Pea Soup
Few restaurants in the United States have been so warmly accepted over the years as the far-famed "Pea Soup Andersen's" in the little town of Buellton. California, just a little north of Santa Barbara. What magic has attracted millions of people to its tables? Why do travelers, who have once visited Andersen's make a point of returning, though they must drive miles after hunger begs them to stop? The delicious Split Pea Soup? Yes, but it's much more than that, for Pea Soup Andersen's has a spirit of wholesome family warmth which draws people again and again through its doors. Long time "pea soupers" whose families brought them first to Andersen's are now bringing their children and their children's children! On June 13, 1999 we celebrated our 75th anniversary and we continue to be a part of California's rich history and future.
